In May 2024, representatives from Veracruz and Bogotá visited Castellón de la Plana as part of the City-to-City activities.
Throughout two days, Twin Cities had the chance to strengthen cooperation, exchange knowledge, and share best practices in the field of sustainable urban development, nature based Solutions and social participation tools.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Exploratory walk to the pilot area with local experts
- Presentation of the DivAirCity project and of the project’s activities
- Bi-lateral meetings with local experts
- Roundtable discussions with local stakeholders and politicians
MAIN LESSONS LEARNT
- Organizing the visit back-to-back to the opening event of the Twinning Programme was instrumental in ensuring that representatives from Latin America could make the most out of their travel to Europe
- The in-person visit was useful to establish and strengthen institutional cooperation between the Castellon local ecosystem and the partners in Colombia and Mexico
