Opening meeting for the Project-to-Project Twinning Programme

On February 21st, 2025, the opening meeting of the Project-to-Project Twinning Programme was held online. During the meeting, the DivAirCity project was presented, and the Twin Projects had the chance to introduce themselves and their work. The selected Twin Projects are:

  • Green Wall
  • A Light for the Viewpoint
  • City-centered approach to catalyze nature-based solutions through the EU Regenerative Urban Lighthouse for pollution alleviation and regenerative development (UPSURGE)
  • Co-creating people-centric sustainable neighbourhoods through urban regeneration (WeGenerate)
  • Water Treatment for Solar Power Plants in New Cities
  • Enhancing the relevance of vocational training for roofers with the latest industry standards (ROTES)
  • Re-Vitalising Energy Transition in Touristic Islands (GENERA)
  • REstore Urban Sealed soil for alternative Ecosystem Services (REUSES)
  • Setting a citizen science innovation programme for exploring innovative funding schemes and boosting recognition (IMPETUS)

On top of these, 4 new Twin Projects joined the Programme during the session, namely:

  • Manchester Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy (MGBIS)
  • Ukraine towards Climate Neutrality (U_CAN)
  • Intelligent Cities Challenge (ICC)
  • Nad Dzherelom requalification project

Main Lessons Learnt:

  • Interest in networking and connecting: there is a great appetite among projects to connect and learn from each other to improve their work and share their findings.
  • Keeping an open mind: when twinning with other projects, it is important to keep an open mind and look beyond the EU and the Horizon programme. Projects funded by other EU programmes, by national funds, by the private sector or by community sources have many insights to bring at the table.
