By 2050, more than half of the world’s population will live in cities. These urban areas, responsible for 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions, are at the heart of the climate challenge. In Europe, innovative solutions are emerging. Several cities have taken the lead by working directly with the most vulnerable citizens: women, people with disabilities, children, the elderly, low-income groups, ethnic minorities, and members of the LGBTQ community. The documentary will explore how, together, they have been able to voice their needs and collaborate closely with authorities to find sustainable and inclusive solutions, thereby improving not only air quality but also urban life as a whole.
